GYEC Final Round: Building Inclusive Workplaces for the Deaf with Loop

After advancing past the preliminary round of GYEC, we were proud to present Loop, a smart workplace communication system designed to bridge the gap between hearing and deaf employees. With over 466 million deaf people globally, we recognized a significant opportunity not only to address a communication challenge but also to empower an often overlooked workforce.

Our solution combines a smart wristband with a connected messaging platform. It translates workplace alerts into vibrations, lights, and easy-to-understand icons. Whether in a restaurant, retail store, or manufacturing facility, Loop helps streamline communication while making work environments more accessible and inclusive.

We designed Loop to be more than just a product. Through our Deaf Inclusion Integration Program (DIIP), we support businesses in onboarding deaf employees, redesigning workflows, and tracking measurable inclusion. This helps companies lower their interpreter costs, improve operational efficiency, and demonstrate their commitment to equity in the workplace.

Competing in the final round of GYEC challenged us to refine our business model and communicate our vision clearly. We are grateful for the experience and excited to keep moving forward with Loop, bringing innovation and impact to more workplaces.
