Today was our 6th grade Medieval Fair, and I got to be a jester. I spent the past few weeks working on my costume, putting together a colorful outfit with bells and mismatched patterns. It took a while to figure out what looked right, but in the end it actually came out pretty great.
I also taught myself how to juggle. At first I kept dropping everything, but I practiced every day until I could finally do it without messing up. During the fair, I told jokes, walked around in character, and showed off my juggling skills. It felt a little weird performing in front of everyone at first, but once I got going, it was really fun.
It was one of those school projects that didn’t feel like a regular assignment. I actually learned a lot and had a good time doing it.
