Chuncheon EE Trip

Our trip to Chuncheon was one of those weeks that felt packed from start to finish. We made candles, learned about ancient Korean punishments, tried our hand at kimchi making, and then switched gears completely with white water rafting, canoeing, and stand up paddling. It was great to be back in the water since it has been a while.

What I enjoyed most though were the nightly reflections with my group. After running around all day, sitting down to talk made me notice things I might have missed otherwise.

One big insight came during canoeing. The wind was pushing against us and every paddle forward felt like a battle. On the way back though, that same wind carried us with barely any effort. It hit me that life works like that too. What feels hard in one moment can make things easier later on. There are always two sides to a coin and sometimes you just need to shift your perspective.

Chuncheon was both a great step back from college apps and school but also a reminder to enjoy the fun, think deeper, and keep perspective in mind.
